1950s Putting On the Ritz Tails Tux | Vintage 50s Midnight Blue Wool Tuxedo Tailcoat Suit Silk Peak Lapels Satin Stripes | Size 41 Large

You'll be putting on the Ritz at your next black tie affair in this fantastic 1950’s tuxedo! This suit is made of a midnight blue wool and the tailcoat has peak lapels made of a black silk. Six buttons on the chest, tails and four button cuffs match nicely. The tailcoat has strong shoulders and and two single pleats; one down each tail. There is a welted chest pocket as well as a hidden interior pocket and it is fully lined with silk. The trousers have 4 single pleats in front and two strips of silk satin run down the sides. There are 2 side pockets, a watch pocket, and 2 back button pockets, with one buttoning. The trousers have suspender buttons and a steel zip fly. The tag reads by "Walton Douglas Clothes" by "Wilkinson's" of Saint Louis & Kansas City. 1949-62 Union Label dates this tux to the 1950s. This suit is in great vintage condition, with a couple small period mends and no holes, stains, odors to note.
