1940s Brighton Beach Memories Suit | Vintage Late 40s Steel Blue Peak Lapels Jacket & Tunnel Loop Trousers Dated 1950! | Size 42 Large

There's no more perfect suit to enjoy Betty Grable's feature film My Blue Heaven than this heavenly steel blue wool suit tailored on the same day as the film's release! The fabric has a tone-on-tone stripe varying from steel to slate blue depending on the lighting. Jacket features a classic 6x2 button stance with matching trios of cuff buttons, wide peak lapels, jetted chest pocket, flapped hip pockets, and finished with an unvented back, shoulder pads, and a rayon skeleton lining. Trousers include double pleats, steel Talon zip, five pockets with both back pockets buttoning, healthy cuffs, and wide 'tunnel' belt loops. Dated 9-5-50 on the tailor's tag, this suit was likely sewn in 1949, so we're comfortable listing it as a cusp 1940s/50s suit - perfect for an event staged in either era! By Brighton tailors of Cincinnati, Ohio. This suit is in great vintage condition, with two small subtle period mends and no holes, stains, nor odors to note.
