1940s Hollywood Hep Suit | Vintage Late 40s Carolina Blue with Orange Windowpane Jacket & Hollywood Waist Pants Dated 1950! | Size 38 Medium

Step out onto Sunset Boulevard in this gorgeous two-piece suit! The fine Carolina blue wool is shot through with a bright orange windowpane pinstripe, feeling like a sunset on an overcast day.
Jacket is single-breasted with a three-button closure of marbled grey buttons with matching trios of cuff buttons, wide notch lapels, jetted chest pocket, welted hip pockets, and finished with an unvented back, shoulder pads, single inside pocket, and a rayon skeleton lining. Trousers include double pleats, steel zip, five pockets with one buttoning in the back, healthy cuffs, and heavily dropped belt loops over a full Hollywood waist. Dated 5-1-50 on tailor's tags on both pieces, this suit retains more 1940s qualities and was likely sewn in 1949, so we're comfortable listing it as a cusp 1940s/50s suit - perfect for an event staged in either era! Tagged "Fine Made to Measure Tailoring. This suit is in great vintage condition, with two of the tiniest well done period mends and no holes, stains, nor odors to note.
