1920s Ships Ahoy! Suit | Vintage 20s Black Navy Captain Dress Uniform with Double Breasted Frock and Trousers Dated 1922! | Size 36 Small

In the navy, you can sail the seven seas! This incredible structured formal Navy Captain's uniform, or 'dress blues,' consists of a double breasted frock coat and pair of trousers in midnight black soft boiled wool. The frock coat has peak lapels, shoulder pads, a full set of 10 three-demential gold buttons with the navy's eagle & anchor insignia with another two on the tails, and gold bullion crest and four stripes at the cuffs indicating the Captain's rank of the suit's original wearer. Fully lined in beautiful silk with glove pockets in the tails and a slash pocket at the chest. The flat front trousers have wide gold bullion stripes down the sides, a button fly, a full set of suspender buttons, two side pockets, and two watch/coin pockets. There is a tailor's tag indicating that this uniform was made in South Brooklyn, New York on 2/16/22 - 100 years old this year! This suit is in great vintage condition, with no holes, odors, nor stains to note.
