1940s Hit the Nail on the Head Suit | Vintage 40s Blue and White Nailhead Weave Wool Three-Piece Set Dated 1946! | Size 44/46 Extra Large XL

Hit it! You've nailed it with this dapper 1940s suit! Made of a fantastic white-over-navy-blue nailhead weave wool, giving a great optical effect! A subtle wine red pinstripe runs throughout to give the fabric that something extra. The jacket is double breasted with wide peak lapels, three welted pockets, one inner pocket, 2x6 button closure, ventless back, matching cuff buttons, padded shoulders, butterfly lined in rayon, with taped seams. The vest has a matching 6-button closure and four welted pockets. The trousers feature five welted pockets with peaked-buttoning-flaps over both back pockets, a metal zip fly, dropped belt loops, full set of inner suspender buttons, and flat front. From the "JT Schusler Co" of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Tailor's label Dated 10-23-46, just before Halloween the year after the war ended. It's really incredible to find a piece of history like this, and in such a nice size! This suit is in great vintage condition, the vest has been let out in back with an insert (not seen when worn, and can easily removed) and we see no holes, stains, odors to note.
