1940s Silent Star Suit | Vintage 40s Grey Wool with White Pinstripes Three-Piece Set with Two Pairs of Pants | Size 38/40 Medium

Step out of a black & white film in this splendid suit! Iconic grey wool with white pinstripes. The blazer is double breasted with 2x6 button stance with matching pairs of cuff buttons and features wide peak lapels, jetted chest pocket, two welted hip pockets, with one inner pockets, ventless back, shoulder pads, taped seams, and rayon butterfly lining. BOTH pairs of pants have a pleated front, healthy cuffs, 2 slash pockets on the side and 2 pockets in back, one of which can be closed with a button, watch pocket, and dropped belt loops. Closes with a brass zip fly and button closure, and both pairs include a full set of inner suspender buttons. It's so wonderful to find such a well-made suit complete with their 2nd pair of trousers that the original owner wisely opted for and have been kept together all these years! The pants are the most useful (and most worn) part of a suit, we've always found it incredibly useful to have a second pair! By 'Carnahan-Shearer' and includes a 1939-48 Union Label dating this suit to the 1940s. This suit is in great vintage condition, with a few subtle period mends and two faint marks and no holes nor odors to note. 

Please Note: We list the Suit Size in the Title. A "Suit Size" is taken from your actual chest measurement. While we'd like a well-fitted suit, we don't want a skin-tight suit, so the actual jacket chest measurement is generally a few inches larger.

Waist: 31” + 4" to let out
Inseam: 30.5” with 4” in cuff to let down if needed
