1920s Sandy At Sutro Swimsuit | Antique Vintage 20s Beige Wool Bathing Suit with White Silk Screen San Francisco Baths Stamps | Small XS

Own a piece of San Francisco history and dream of swimming in the historic baths! Classic wool swimsuit in sandy beige has deep U-back and skirted shorts. Cute little buttoning pocket hidden under the skirt for change/locker key/etc. The front is silk screened with "Sutro Baths" and two symbols that seem to denote rules of the baths. Now a highly collectible piece, this was once a rental swimsuit at Sutro Baths during its heyday as the world's largest indoor pools. These symbols have remained a fun mystery - I'm pretty sure A = Adult, and I haven't a clue what the slashed B is about. By "Atlantic", a very early source of Sutro rental suits before they were able to source from West Coast knitting mills (G&M, etc). This swimsuit is in good vintage condition, a few small holes and no stains or odors to note.

Chest: 28"- 34" Comfortably
Waist: 24"- 28" Comfortably
Hips: 32"- 38" Comfortably
Overall Length: 22" center front to crotch

Once the garment is back in my hands, I can refund for the price of the item -10% to cover Etsy platform & payment processing fees (Free Shipping items -20%). If you’d prefer to make an exchange, you can receive the Full Amount towards a different item, or turn the funds into a Gift Certificate.
