1910s Walk On the Wild Side Dress | Vintage Teens Antique Zebra Stripes Silk Chiffon and Black Taffeta Gown w/Scallop Tiers & Lace | Small

Earn your stripes by taking a walk on the wild side in this astounding teens era dress! A glorious example of this era's creativity, this dress combines silk chiffon in a zebra pattern in off black and antiqued white, black silk taffeta, and a multitude of design accents. The upper has long tapered sleeves with snap fastening wrists, bib front that wraps around the back with sash ties for a bow, back flap collar, shoulder epaulets, and lacey neckline accent from the ecru silk dress liner. Gentle smocking runs along the high hip where the outer skirt flares to three tiers of scalloped edge layers ending at about tea length and revealing the narrow under skirt for a truly interesting silhouette. The bodice underlayer fastens with snaps and hooks and eyes and has a wide waistband reinforced with boning. The outer dress fastens with snaps on the side. This dress is in good vintage condition, the epaulets have the beginnings of tears and the shoulders of the chiffon layer under it have subtle mends. No stains or odors to note.
