1940s New Look New You Suit | Vintage 40s "Lilli Ann" Brick Red Wool Hourglass Blazer & Full Flared Skirt 2 Piece Set w/Rhinestones | Small

What's old is new so get that "New Look" in this late 40's "Lilli Ann" suit! This fabulous example of post-war fashion is chock full of the desired qualities of a "Lilli Ann" in a beautiful brick red wool. The jacket is lined in rayon crepe and is shaped with padded shoulders, hourglass darts and seams, and light padding under the front hip to flare the peplum. The collar is accented with a welted slit and rhinestone studded petals emerge from underneath and the welted detail is used for functional pockets on the hips that curve like a smile and trimmed with a wide flap that further enhances the shapely hips. Self fabric buttons fasten up the front and the cuffs are notched and pointed. The skirt is fantastically full, perfect for a crinoline and scalloped seams around the hips are lined with rayon crepe and interfacing for added structure. Metal zip and button on the side. This suit is in great vintage condition, a couple small subtle period mends and no holes, stains or odors to note.
