1930s 1940s Orchid Skirt Suit | Vintage 30s 40s 'Arthur Weiss' Dusky Purple Slub Silk Skirt Suit with Velvet and Lace Trim | Extra Small XS

Evoke the romance of days gone by in this incredible Art Deco-era skirt suit by 'Alfred Weiss Originals.' Suit is made of stunning dusky orchid and jet black slub silk shantung and features enchanting period details including heavily embellished lapels and cuffs, welted button holes, and self-covered buttons. Three-button jacket with snap closure sports gorgeous black velvet curved lapels adorned with three rows of ivory scallop-edged shell lace, double row of self-fabric bias tape, and black velvet ribbon accent on left lapel. Ultra-feminine bracelet sleeves end in elegant turn-up black velvet cuffs embellished with matching ivory shell lace trim, self-fabric bias tape, and self-covered button detail. Jacket is unlined and includes self-fabric shoulder pads and black grosgrain ribbon facing at front waist for structure. Four-gored bias cut skirt is unlined and features metal side zip entry, charming pointed tab closure with double hook-and-eye fasteners, and two matching purple rayon hanger loops. Includes original black-on-white script jacquard designer label in jacket and original printed paper size tag in skirt side seam. This suit is in excellent vintage condition, with no holes, stains, or odors to note.
