This gorgeous mid-century handwoven midi skirt with matching shawl would be just perfect for an afternoon perusing a Santa Fe gallery or sipping chianti at a Cinque Terre terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Skirt is made of luxurious Italian wool interspersed with metallic gold threads for a heathered effect. Generous pleats tucked into a slim reinforced waistband add fullness; a series of double-rows of gold weft at along the hip add detail and structure and support a lightweight solid black rayon lining. Skirt closes with double hooks and eyes at side waist. Matching scarf in solid black wool has gold threaded heathered sections at each end, 5" hand-knotted fringe, and sports blue and white printed 'da "Geny" Anacapri' maker label. This skirt and shawl set is in great vintage condition, with no holes, stains, or odors to note. It has been pinned on the model to show fit.
