1940s Hollywood Cocktail Frock | Vintage 40s Mauve Rayon Faille Evening Party Dress with Extra Wide Black Velvet Shawl Collar | Large

When you put on this understated cocktail dress from the 40s you may just imagine yourself a silver screen starlet on her way out to sip champagne cocktails whilst winning over the producers and agents who cross her path. The dress is composed of a deep mauve rayon faille material with a rich soft oversized black velvet shawl collar. The bodice is a wrapped style and has a metal snap for securing the plunging neckline. A deep inverted box pleat is at the top center of the skirt creating fullness in the skirt while allowing the waist to remain tapered. Metal side zipper is for closure. This dress is in good vintage condition, with a little very subtle discoloration on back, but no holes nor odors to note.
