1930s Ravishingly Raven Evening Dress Set | Vintage 30s Black Rayon Satin Ruched Button Top & Rayon Faille Floor Length Gown Skirt | Medium

You’ll look ravishing in this raven black 1930’s two piece gown set! This top and skirt is a wonderful example of textural play with the smooth and slinky rayon satin on top and the structured rayon faille of the skirt with a touch of soft velvet. Incredibly versatile (especially for a gown!), each piece of this set would mix&match well with other pieces of the era! The top features decorative stitching as trim around all edges with puffed shoulders and ruching details on the sleeves, a tulip hem, decorative self buttons with hidden snaps as the real closures, and a belted back for fit. The skirt is floor length with slim hips that widen to a full sweep at the hem, box pleats in the back, two velvet bows on the front, and an early cloth covered metal zipper on the side. This set is in great vintage condition, there is a small period mend towards the bottom of the skirt and a professional repair under the arm of the top, neither seen when worn and no holes, stains, or odors to note. It has been pinned on model to show fit.
