1940s Magnificent Majorette Costume | Vintage 40s Red Satin Dress and Shorts Set with White Fringe and Rabbit Fur Trim + Baton | Medium

You’ll be leading that parade with the 76 trombones for sure in this classic 1940’s majorette outfit complete with baton! The dress is candy apple red rayon satin with the bodice lined in white cotton. It has a high collar, shoulder epaulets with white fringe, three rows of draped braided white ropes finished with silver harp buttons, and a short flared skirt trimmed with white rabbit fur. Fastens on the left side with a series of hooks and eyes and snaps on the shoulder. The shorts are high waisted with a metal zipper in the back and lined with red linen. Also included is an 8x10 portrait of the original owner AND her original twirling baton!! This costume is in great vintage condition, with no holes, stains, or odors to note.
