1930s After The Faille Tuxedo Dated 1938! | Vintage 30s Beautiful Black Wool Double Breasted Silk Peak Lapel Tux Suit | Size 38/40 Medium

An absolutely gorgeous 1930s tuxedo! A true show stopper at any Gatsby or other formal event. Purchased in August of 1938 This tuxedo is made of black wool. The jacket has wide peak silk faille lapels, double-breasted 1x4 closure, three matching buttons on each cuff, two full welted pockets at the hip, jetted chest pocket, one full interior pocket and a smaller cigar pocket, is unvented, with a butterfly lining. The flat front trousers have satin tone-over-tone stripe ribbon trim, button fly, suspender buttons, two side seam pockets at the hip, a watch pocket, and two welted back pockets, one with button closure. 1938 dated tailor's tag and a 1936-38 Union Label leave no question to dating this suit to the late 1930s. By PH Davis Tailoring of Cincinnati, Ohio. This suit is in excellent vintage condition, with no holes, stains, odors to note.
